Business Platforms Manager - Oracle/Salesforce (AU)

With one of the largest listed defence company market capitalisations in Australia, part of the ASX200 index, and having raised approximately $250m in 2024 alone, DroneShield is undergoing hypergrowth stage, fuelled by rapidly increasing use of drones for nefarious applications, from battlefield, to terrorism, to contraband delivery and commercial espionage.


This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 380 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 500 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.


About the role

This newly created position will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for managing the ongoing effectiveness of DroneShield’s newly implemented ERP and CRM systems (Oracle/Salesforce). As DroneShield continues to expand rapidly, this role is critical in ensuring that our business platforms and processes keep pace with our growth. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the company and its global operations to ensure that systems and tools are supporting sales, financial, and manufacturing business processes worldwide.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations 

  • Developing platform roadmaps aligned with business priorities across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing
  • Leading requirements gathering and translating business needs into scalable system capabilities
  • Managing vendor relationships and overseeing platform implementation and enhancement projects
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure systems enable efficient operational and financial processes
  • Driving change management initiatives and supporting user adoption through training and documentation
  • Ensuring platform compliance with governance, security, and data standards
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement

Qualifications, Experience and Skills 

  • Essential
    • 3–5 years working with enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Oracle, or similar)
    • Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Experience managing vendors and external consultants
    • Proven ability to deliver platform roadmaps and enhancements
    • Understanding of Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing processes
    • Technical fluency to collaborate with IT and Compliance teams
  • Desirable
    • Experience in high-growth or manufacturing environments
    • Familiarity with defence or regulated industries
