Role Description
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our products. You will design, implement, and execute automated tests across web and API layers, using modern frameworks such as Playwright for end-to-end testing and Postman / Newman for API testing. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and designers to maintain a high level of product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites with Playwright (UI/E2E).
- Build and integrate API tests with Postman and Newman into CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement scripts for automation tasks, data-driven testing, and backend validations.
- Design and execute performance and load tests (e.g., with Locust, k6, or JMeter).
- Contribute to security validation by testing authentication flows, API authorization, and vulnerability scenarios.
- Define regression, smoke, and performance test strategies to support continuous delivery.
- Track, report, and analyze defects, performance bottlenecks, and system reliability issues.
- Collaborate with developers to debug issues, validate fixes, and optimize application performance.
- Provide input on automation frameworks, test data management, and QA process improvements.
Qualifications
- +3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred) or other modern E2E frameworks.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman, Newman, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python familiarity is a plus.
- Design and execute performance and load tests (e.g., with Locust or JMeter).
- Familiarity with SQL for validating data in databases.
- Experience writing clear, maintainable test cases and scripts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience leading small QA initiatives or mentoring teammates (nice to have).
- Experience with Scrum methodology and test management using Jira / Xray (nice to have)

You will work closely with the IT & Development team, collaborating with designers, developers, and other departments such as operations, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
