About the role:
We are looking to hire a Deployment / Configuration Technician to join our Melbourne team, reporting directly to the ANZ Operations Lead. This role is critical in helping us scale our CCTV and video analytics solutions across Australia and New Zealand in a structured and efficient way.
You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and installation partners to ensure successful deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of our solutions, while ensuring compliance with relevant Australian regulations and security licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and project manage CCTV installations by providing remote phone support to field technicians and contractors.
- Gather and review site requirements, recommending operational design improvements for CCTV deployments.
- Configure and test system setups to maximise efficiency, ensure consistency, and comply with Australian industry standards.
- Perform remote quality control checks of new installations, including functional verification and documentation.
- Troubleshoot CCTV/IP camera and networking issues using standard operating procedures.
- Configure remote access, VPN services, and POS integrations while ensuring compliance.
- Accurately maintain site records, installation logs, and electronic documentation.
- Ensure consistent communication with customers, operations teams, and management throughout project lifecycles.
- Provide training and guidance to customers and team members on system usage and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to building a high-performing, customer-first technical team through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of CCTV and IP camera technology, including installation, networking, and configuration.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and systems integration (advantageous).
- Strong networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, VPN, LAN, and WAN.
- Experience with remote access tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, LogMeIn, VNC).
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting network switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, nmap, Zenmap).
- Experience supporting and configuring Windows OS environments; exposure to Mac OS X and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong customer service mindset.
- Current or eligibility to obtain a Security Equipment Installer/advisor License (per Australian state legislation).
- Ability and willingness to travel for deployments and site support.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in implementation, installation, configuration, or technical support roles.
- 4+ years’ experience working with Windows operating systems.
- Industry certifications desirable: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSA/MCSE (or Australian equivalents)
Additional Requirements:
- Australian driver's license and appropriate work status eligibility are required
- Police checks conducted on all staff, prior to offer of employment
- Travel across ANZ as required
We offer a competitive salary of up to 60,000 - 80,000 AUD/yr +Super
