About dub

Founded in 2021 in NYC, dub is building the first copy-trading platform where instead of picking stocks, you pick people and mirror their investments. We've built the first marketplace for connecting retail investors with investing talent.


Our mission is to simplify investing by making it about people selection, and hopefully onboard the ~50% of Americans who don't own a single stock and aren't participating in the greatest wealth creation engine of our times: the stock market. Job done right, we will rewrite the playbook for how the regular individual invests and transform global GDP.


In less than 12 months post-launch, we just crossed 1 Million downloads and have almost 50K paying subscribers.


Backing

We've raised close to $40M from top VCs and visionaries to support our mission. Our institutional investors include Tusk Ventures Partners and Slow Venture, and our angels consist of partners from Sequoia and A16Z and the current or former CEO/Founders of Uber, Airbnb, Robinhood, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and TIAA.


About the role

Reporting to the CEO & Founder, the Head of Marketing will be responsible for ROAS positive revenue by leading a combination of performance, brand, and influencer marketing. The leader will focus efforts on driving efficient and sustainable funded account and subscriber growth within dub's unique creator economy marketplace.


They should feel extremely comfortable (and enjoy) being in the weeds, ideating ad creatives, planning major brand activations, and closing deals with key influencers and agency partners. Bold ideas with thoughtful execution is an imperative.


dub is a consumer first, app first product retail investing app with a unique market place dynamic. "Copiers" are our demand, while "Creators", or investors you can copy-trade on the app, are our supply. Marketing will focus on demand-side acquisition.


Responsibilities

  • Build dub's marketing team into the most respected, feared, and gritty team in the industry
  • Lead & manage a team of 3 content creators and a growth marketing manager
  • Ideate and launch marketing campaigns across digital and physical ads, major brand partnerships
  • Oversee execution on performance marketing channels including Meta, Google, Youtube, Reddit, TikTok, and more
  • Manage external marketing relationships, including ad partners, agencies, and aim to constantly reduce costs and negotiate best possible terms
  • Build accurate and re-usable marketing attribution models with demonstrable ROAS (return on ad spend)
  • Occasionally leverage Figma / Canva to assist team in content production
  • Work closely with the Partnerships team on leveraging dub's influencer partners and Top Creators
  • Work closely with the Product team on building marketing integrations, attribution, and organic growth campaigns
  • Work closely with the Compliance team on structuring and operating content review systems (we're regulated and content needs to be approved) and complying with regulator requests

Qualifications

  • Intense passion for creating world-class ads & content that resonates with customers
  • 5-7+ years experience in consumer product growth marketing
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Lives in NYC and loves working / brainstorming in person

Job Notes

  • This is an in-person role and I ask that you come to the NYC office 5 days a week.
