About the role and team
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly responsible and vigilant individual to join our team as a Lifeguard. The primary role of the Lifeguard is to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals at our aquatic facility. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for preventing and responding to water-related emergencies, enforcing safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This is a critical role that requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure Safety: Monitor the pool area and enforce safety rules to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintain constant surveillance of swimmers and act immediately to provide assistance or initiate rescue procedures when necessary.
  2. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in the event of water-related emergencies, including drowning, injuries, or other medical situations. Administer first aid, CPR, or any other necessary life-saving techniques as trained.
  3. Rule Enforcement: Enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Communicate rules to patrons and take appropriate action to address violations or unsafe behaviors.
  4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all individuals using the aquatic facility. Offer assistance, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old (may vary depending on local regulations).
  • Possess current lifeguard certification from a recognized certification agency.
  • CPR and first aid certification.
  • Excellent swimming skills and physical fitness.
  • Strong observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
  • Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of water safety protocols and rescue techniques.
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor.e

The pay range for this role is:

33,000 - 40,000 USD per year (Colorado)
