Who we are:
At Dwell, we like to think big and small – producing high minded concepts without losing sight of the details. We’re notoriously accurate: producing some of the cleanest documents this side of the galaxy. We’re methodically unconventional: designing clever spaces that aren’t outlandish or lacking purpose. And we’re solid people: easy to work with, fun to be around, and void of pretension.
Dwell's award-winning architectural and interiors teams work with both housing and retail developers, including some of the nation’s largest Real Estate Investment Trusts, in designing high density, mixed-use, and urban infill projects. Our projects and offices span many states from Arizona to South Florida, up through DC, Virginia, and Maryland, and into New York and Connecticut. We have been awarded as one of the Best Places to Work in 2021 and for many years prior.

o Present big ideas to clients and communities with confidence and clarity
o Create beautiful, thoughtful presentation packages—plans, imagery, models, and mood boards
o Navigate zoning, entitlements, and planning regulations with savvy and insight.
o Keep in sync with the design leadership to hit project milestones and deadlines like a pro.
o Stay ahead of trends in sustainable planning and design.
What You Bring to the Table:
o Vision and creativity to shape great places.
o Strong sketching, drawing, and conceptual storytelling skills
o A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, Planning/Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture
o 5+ years’ experience in master planning and urban planning or landscape design
o A deep understanding of placemaking, walkability, and how vibrant communities work.
o A good feel for how retail works—and what makes it thrive.
o Passion for context-driven, sustainable, resilient design
o Knowledge of zoning, land use planning, codes, and design principles that bring it all together.
o Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp (Revit and Bluebeam are a plus!)
o A positive attitude, curiosity, and a sense of humor—Dwellians bring the energy.
