About the role

  • As an HR Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting HR operations across the employee lifecycle. This includes onboarding and offboarding, HR recordkeeping, benefits administration support, and employee relations. In addition, you’ll provide assistance to recruiting with phone screens, sourcing, and scheduling as needed. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a desire to start or grow a career in Human Resources.

What you'll do

  • Assist the Director of HR with daily HR operations and organizational tasks. 
  • Support recruiting efforts by sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, and assisting with scheduling. 
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees. 
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and ATS systems. 
  • Assist with timecard management and attendance tracking. 
  • Provide support in administering benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.). 
  • Contribute to employee relations efforts and HR initiatives to support culture and engagement. 
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. 
  • Assist with general HR management, filing, and organizational tasks. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 
  • Prior experience or internship in HR or recruiting is a plus, but not required. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning HRIS/ATS systems.
