Responsibilities for a Solar Procurement Specialist:
Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors nationwide to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Cost Optimization: Negotiate and secure the best possible prices for a growing list of products, ensuring cost savings and value for the company.
Deal Sourcing: Identify and procure discounted deals and special offers that benefit the company.
Inventory Management: Oversee the liquidation of obsolete or slow-moving inventory to maximize returns and reduce holding costs.
Brokering Deals: Facilitate and broker deals with external companies to offload excess inventory and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential new suppliers.
Contract Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to track procurement activities, evaluate supplier performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements for a Solar Procurement Specialist:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications for a Solar Procurement Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role. Experience in a material and supply chain role is a plus.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Solar Installation Industry
Network of suppliers, manufacturers, and/or distributors preferred.
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a commitment to delivering superior customer service.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial team environment.
Attention to detail and deadline orientation; Ability to navigate competing priorities.

$60,000-$100,000 annually
