The Early Careers Program is a 13-week summer program designed to provide real-world work experience to students currently pursuing a degree in a related field to FlexGen.  This program will give students interested in a career in the renewable energy and battery storage industries hands-on exposure to FlexGen projects and mentorship from industry professionals.  Upon completion of the program, students will have gained the knowledge, tools, and resources to be successful upon entering the professional world.

Position Description:

FlexGen Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and logistics management while contributing to projects that directly impact the company’s operations.


Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Support the procurement team in preparing and issuing purchase orders.
  • Track and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and alternative products.
  • Assist in maintaining supplier databases and procurement documentation.
  • Help with supplier performance evaluation and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and ensure smooth processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and procurement strategies.

Position Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with procurement or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
