About the role

The Project Controls Coordinator supports project execution by assisting with cost tracking, scheduling, reporting, and project documentation. This role works closely with the Project Manager and project team to ensure accurate project controls and efficient coordination with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The position also provides administrative and coordination support to facilitate smooth project operations.


This role provides an opportunity to grow into a Project Controls Manager position.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, cost forecasts, and budget tracking.
  • Identify and report potential schedule delays or cost/budget issues to the Project Manager.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of project schedules, cost reports, and project status reports.
  • Assist with project cost tracking, including data collection, field progress updates, and productivity reporting.
  • Ensure project controls documentation and reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with project teams to collect field data required for reporting and cost tracking.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of project documentation such as reports, meeting minutes, cost reports, and schedule updates.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to support project documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Project Manager with progress tracking, project reporting, and administrative coordination activities as needed.
  • Support cost tracking, invoice verification, and preparation of documentation related to progress payments and project billing.
  • Maintain organized project records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support implementation of company safety policies and quality standards within assigned project responsibilities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred. 
  • 0–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, cost tracking, scheduling, or related fields preferred but not required. 
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills required. 
  • Experience with construction management software (Procore or similar) is a plus. 
  • Korean-English bilingual communication skills preferred to support coordination with Korean-speaking project stakeholders. 


Work Environment

  • Construction project site and office environment. 
  • May require coordination with field teams and subcontractors. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic project environment.
