As a Sanitation Porter, you are a critical guardian of facility hygiene. Your mission is to ensure that restrooms, common areas, and high-traffic zones are clean, safe, and ready for use—every time. In this hands-on role, you will leverage professional cleaning processes and high-quality equipment to maintain an environment that meets the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. Reporting to the Sanitation Site Manager, you will be the "boots on the ground" ensuring that the facility reflects our commitment to excellence through meticulous floor care, waste management, and detail-oriented sanitization.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and maintain restrooms and all high-traffic common areas to ensure a hygienic environment for all staff.

Floor Care Excellence: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors with precision. Operate professional equipment including carpet shampoos and hand scrubbers to maintain pristine surfaces.

Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins regularly; operate waste compactors safely and efficiently.

Facility Maintenance & Aesthetics: Dust fixtures, wash windows, and clean various surfaces. Assist with minor tasks like changing light bulbs and reporting larger maintenance issues to leadership.

Restocking & Inventory: Proactively replenish soap, tissue, and towel dispensers to ensure the facility is always fully stocked for users.

Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow PPE protocols and handle all cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with regulatory standards.

Exterior Stewardship: Maintain the professional appearance and safety of the facility by cleaning exterior entrances and performing snow/ice removal as needed.

Position Requirements

• Experience: 6–12 months of prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or sanitation roles is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, carry, push, and pull between 30–70 pounds.
• Attention to Detail: A "sharp eye" for cleanliness and a commitment to thoroughness in every task.
• Reliability: A strong work ethic and a track record of punctuality. Communication: Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively with diverse team members.
• Minimum Age Requirement: Due to job duties and applicable operational and insurance requirements, individuals applying for this position must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for employment.
