Special Project Creative Assistant

About the role

As a Creative Assistant on the Special Projects Team, you will play a key role in supporting yearbook accounts that are at risk of not completing their projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide specialized guidance and hands-on support, ensuring these accounts are able to successfully finish their yearbooks. This may include assisting with photo uploads and placement, building page layouts, and completing other design-related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in graphic design, page layout, or desktop publishing software, with a strong eye for detail and creativity.


What you'll do

In addition to yearbook building, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing customer tech support via phone and email.
  • Performing quality control checks on completed yearbooks.
  • Developing new resources for our online customer library.

You will work closely with the Special Projects Manager, collaborating on a wide range of creative and technical tasks that directly impact the success of our yearbook advisors.


Core Responsibilities

  • Relationship building with customers via phone, email and video chat
  • Help build Resource Library in EDONext
  • Provide Tier I tech support to customers via email and phone correspondence
  • Design Projects using EDONext and Adobe Programs
  • Quality Control for finished yearbook projects, both digital and physical
  • Respond to, document and resolve customer support requests in the ticket queue
  • Attend and participate in department meetings
    Carrying out any other duties as described by Supervisor


Expectations

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work a 40hr work week, including nights and Saturdays, as needed
  • Keen eye for details and proofreading
  • Learn in-house design software to assist customers during yearbook season
  • Learn in-house customer management software 
  • Interact seamlessly in a cross functional team environment.
  • Completion of all required company training and certifications within a timely manner
  • Adhere to policies in the Employee Handbook and maintain a professional, respectful working relationship within the company

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 20 USD per hour (Carnegie )
