About the role

The Technical Project Manager at eHouse is responsible for leading and managing Shopify site builds and eCommerce integration projects. This includes overseeing the development of Shopify-based eCommerce websites and ensuring seamless integration with clients' internal systems such as ERP, WMS, CRM, and OMS. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional project management and communication skills, a solutions-oriented mentality, and experience with Shopify and system integrations.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage Shopify site builds and eCommerce integration projects from planning, execution, monitoring, and closure to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Collaborate with clients and eHouse subject matter experts to understand business needs, technical requirements, and project goals, translating them into detailed project plans that you will continuously maintain.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA testers, to deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, manage change orders, and identify upsell opportunities throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Drive to billable utilization targets for projects and resources under your management, and manage project investment to ensure we are billing for resources utilized.
• Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, oversee production team workflows, and facilitate meetings to meet project objectives and timely delivery.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Provide post-launch support to ensure the smooth operation of integrated systems while driving billable utilization and optimizing resource billing.
• Ensure adherence to company processes, methodologies, and best practices, maintaining project documentation including status reports, meeting notes, and detailed action items.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, manage schedules, and facilitate internal and client meetings to support project success.
• Develop a deep understanding of client business processes, share best practices, and apply lessons learned to improve future projects.
• Build and update bi-weekly reporting, scorecard dashboards, and KPIs for ongoing status updates, ensuring alignment throughout project lifecycles.
• Other work as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, focusing on eCommerce site builds and system integrations.
• 5+ years of client-facing experience, ideally working with leadership and C-suite teams.
• Strong experience managing Shopify Plus site builds, including custom development and app integrations.
• Knowledge of integrating Shopify with ERP, WMS, CRM, OMS, and other backend platforms.
• Experience with ERP system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and project management tools (e.g., Asana).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• PMP or Agile certifications are a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Asana and resource planning tools.
• Agency experience managing multiple projects and clients.
• Understanding of cloud services and APIs.

This role is ideal for someone with deep Shopify experience, a passion for eCommerce and backend systems, and the ability to manage complex technical projects from inception to completion.
