About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant, to join our VIC Contaminated Sites Team to assist with some of Australia's of largest and most complex industrial facilities closures. We welcome applications from both individual leaders and established teams seeking a new platform to grow. 

The role will involve forming providing technical oversight and strategic and practical solutions to clients with environmental management challenges. 

The successful candidate will need: 

· Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology 

· 8+ years’ consulting experience in contaminated land and groundwater and remediation projects. 

· Experience in contaminated land assessments with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations 

· Experience in landfill assessments and compliance (desirable but not essential)  

· Demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing site investigations and various sampling methods including soil and groundwater. 

· Strong communication, well developed report writing, and project management skills. 

· A focus on safety and environmental responsibility. 

· Knowledge of NEPM as well as health & safety best practice principles 

· Strong knowledge of VIC environmental legislation 

· The candidate must have a great eye for detail, a sense of practicality in regard to legislative and technical interpretation, and the ability to find pragmatic solutions. 

General responsibilities include: 

· Undertaking preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, preparing PSI and DSI Assessment Reports, site management plans and remediation action plans 

· Initiation, planning, leading and executing complex contaminated land/waste projects, including soil, vapour, surface water, wastewater and groundwater assessments 

· Providing mentoring and technical oversight to the contaminated land and groundwater team 

· Engaging with clients and other disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems
