Position Summary


At elev8.io, we don’t just run ads—we engineer outcomes. We’re on a mission to help behavioral health facilities connect with the people who need them most, and we do that through full-funnel, conversion-obsessed paid media strategies.

We’re therefore looking for a Director of Paid Media—a cross-channel performance architect, revenue-minded growth driver, and leadership force who thrives on results and refuses to settle for average.

This isn’t a “set it and forget it” gig. This is for the pro who sees media dollars as growth accelerants, and campaigns as profit machines.

You’ll be responsible for scaling our performance marketing engine across paid search (predominantly Google Ads and Microsoft Ads), paid social, native, and emerging platforms—with deep integration into our client success, creative, CRO, and analytics teams.

If you’ve scaled 7-figure monthly ad budgets, obsess over CAC:LTV ratios, know your way around attribution models like an economist and are capable of leading a growing team of PPC Specialists. Read on!

Our usual budget allocation per client ranges anywhere between $25k-500K per month and all our PPC campaigns are focused on generating calls, chats or form submissions.  Understanding PPC performance attribution using a suite of tracking technologies like CTM, Callrail, GA4, Further, etc. is therefore a requisite for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities - What You Own


🧱 Growth Strategy & Performance

  • Architect full-funnel paid media strategies across platforms (Google, Bing, Meta, LinkedIn, Programmatic, and Native).
  • Establish, monitor, and iterate on channel-specific CPL, VOB, CPA and ROAS targets.
  • Own daily/weekly/monthly pacing across accounts and ensure clients stay within KPIs and forecasted outcomes.
  • Forecast growth across client portfolios and manage aggressive scale trajectories from $500k/mo → $1MM+/mo in paid spend.

🎯 Campaign & Channel Execution

  • Oversee high-budget SEM and paid social media campaigns focused on direct response (phone calls, form fills, VOB-qualified leads).
  • Collaborate with Web/CRO/Creative teams to test and launch custom landing pages optimized for behavioral health conversions.
  • Implement scalable campaign structures, naming conventions, and rigorous QA processes.

🔍 Analytics, Attribution & Reporting

  • Own the attribution roadmap—including GA4, UTMs, GTM, call tracking, offline conversion imports, and CRM integrations.
  • Partner with Client Services and Marketing Operations to tie media spend to admissions, program types and patient LTV.
  • Deliver real-time dashboards and high-fidelity reports that influence client strategy, not just “show metrics.”

📈 Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a growing team of PPC Specialist, media buyers and channel specialists.
  • Guide junior PPC talent to e.g., Senior PPC Specialists with our career-pathing frameworks, 1:1 strategy sessions, and cross-account learning loops.
  • Set performance expectations, growth KPIs, and provide feedback cadences for continuous team elevation.

🔧 Tech Stack & Tooling

  • Select, implement, and optimize paid media tools such as Optymyzr, Adalysis, Semrush, Agency Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Reduce manual grunt work via automation and AI tools (ChatGPT, AdCreative.ai, Opteo, etc.)
  • Ensure tight integrations between ads, analytics, CRM, and lead ops infrastructure.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • +10 years of experience in paid media, ideally in high-growth DTC or B2C lead gen - behavioral healthcare experience a big plus! But  alternative competitive industries such as overall health care, Legal services, Finance, Insurance, SaaS or Education can also work.
  • Proven track record scaling ad budgets from six to seven figures with measurable CAC improvements.
  • Expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft/Bing and LinkedIn Ads. Programmatic platforms (e.g., StackAdapt), and DSPs are a plus but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of conversion tracking, GA4, GTM, offline conversion tracking, and call tracking.
  • Team leadership experience, managing and mentoring paid media talent.
  • Strong data chops—Excel/Sheets fluency, attribution analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Experience working with agencies or in-house marketing teams serving the U.S. healthcare or behavioral health industry.
