Orthopedic Sales Internship Fall 2025

We are looking for a young student who is an A players to get exposed to and build the future of medical device with! 


Program Overview: This internship program offers a valuable learning experience within the medical device industry, where you will contribute to the efficient functioning of our operations and sales process. As an intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to various aspects of inventory management, logistics, sales, and customer service. You will have the opportunity to Interact with sales representatives and healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to all aspects of the medical device industry.


Duration: 12 - 16 weeks  Start Date: September 8, 2025  Compensation: $18.00/hour  Hours: Flexible with fall class schedule, but must be able to work 15-30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities: As an Operations/Sales Intern, you will be an integral part of our Operations Team, supporting various tasks that contribute to the smooth flow of medical device sales and logistics.


Operations: 


  • Assist in preparing medical implant products for packaging and shipment.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Learn to use inventory management software to track and manage inventory levels.
  • Participate in cycle counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Support the coordination of requests from field sales representatives.
  • Gain insights into compliance with FDA guidelines for biologic/tissue products.
  • Be willing and available to deliver trays and implants to hospitals, surgery centers, and storage units when necessary.
  • Assist with logistics coordination for products needed in the field.
  • Contribute to maintaining efficient communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Sales:

  • Shadow a sales representative in the operating room or lab for a day to gain firsthand insight into the field, observe sales techniques, and understand customer interactions. 

  • Participate in local medical education trainings and events at our office to expand understanding of Arthrex products. 
  • Assist Medical Education team in setting up, attending, and cleaning up local cadaver labs.
  • Participate in meetings, leadership trainings, and sales trainings to enhance skills, gain industry knowledge, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and leadership principles. 

Capstone Project: 

  • Conclude the internship by independently completing a comprehensive sales presentation on a product/procedure that you studied over the course of your internship, showcasing acquired knowledge, skills, and understanding of the medical device industry, effectively demonstrating product features, benefits, and value propositions to potential clients.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a degree program, Junior or Senior
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
