About Elevate

Elevate is a small business providing comprehensive grant writing support to nearly 100 nonprofit organizations working on a wide variety of issues. Our fully-remote staff work on teams and build long-term partnerships with clients to support every stage of the grant cycle: fundraising strategy & goal development, prospect research and cultivation, drafting and submission, and funder stewardship. All staff work remotely, with the option to visit our co-working space in downtown DC or meet with clients and teams in-person provided that these activities align with our COVID-19 policies. All candidates must be legally authorized to work for Elevate, and must work for Elevate, in the United States.

Overview of the Position

 

For this role, we are looking for Project Coordinators with at least one year of professional experience to manage and analyze data for 8-10 nonprofit clients. Your day-to-day work for these clients will be overseen by experienced team Directors who are responsible for aligning the work of the team to your clients’ institutional fundraising strategy. Your professional growth will be supported by a dedicated Supervisor.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of comparable experience with the key tasks and responsibilities listed below and demonstrated ability to meet the key competencies for the role.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Independently enter client data provided via email and regular meetings into a Salesforce database;
  • Produce standardized agendas and notes for weekly or bi-weekly client meetings;
  • Manage key systems to support client team collaboration, including Google Group listservs, shared Dropbox folders, LastPass password storage, and Zoom call recordings;
  • Prepare for and participate in internal team check-ins;
  • Contribute positively to Elevate’s culture and community through All Staff and department meetings, as well as internal working groups and committees.

Project Coordination and Nonprofit Sector Expertise

  • You are developing your expertise in data and project management, as well as knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector. 

Data Tracking and Management Using Salesforce

  • You understand how to collect and input required data into Salesforce. You consistently track and enter data for required fields and enter optional data fields upon request. 
  • You understand the data flow, from collection to analytical output, including regular Weekly Updates and reports by request. Your Directors and supervisor provide regular oversight of your data output. 

Problem Prevention & Solving

  • You identify incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent data and raise it to the appropriate person to resolve. You bring questions related to potential data entry trade-offs to your Directors and supervisors. 

Consulting & Workplace Communication

  • You consistently demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills, in both one-on-one and group settings. 
  • You communicate directly with clients regarding tasks or projects directly related to your data management and project coordination responsibilities including meeting rescheduling, confirming receipt of materials or data over the listserv, sharing the annual grant calendar for review, or following up on missing grant award documentation.
  • You actively listen and work with team members to present problems, goals, and ideas in a way that is accessible. 

Timeliness & Prioritization of Work Products

  • You support Elevate’s work with clients by consistently delivering high-quality work products such as agendas, notes, grants calendars, Salesforce updates and reports, and responses on the client listserv on a timeline that allows team members and clients to make informed, strategic decisions. 
  • Your work products are on time and require few reminders from your Directors or supervisor. 
  • You collaborate on prioritization with your Directors and supervisor within the context of company policies regarding the delivery of weekly or bi-weekly deliverables (i.e. agendas, notes, and weekly updates). 

Information Processing

  • You understand the multiple channels, including emails, client meetings, internal check-ins, required for information collection and are able to transfer information from these channels to relevant work products and appropriate colleagues. 

Attention to Detail

  • You identify missing or outdated data and recommend updates to your team Director. 
  • You ensure that updates are transferred from one work product to another independently. 
  • You receive regular edits on work products related to information and data under your control. 

Tools & Systems

  • You adhere to and consistently use Elevate’s standard tools and systems, including: Salesforce field definitions, field mapping for reporting, and report functionality; Dropbox file storage, standard naming conventions, and team folder organization; Gmail and Gchat for internal communication; Zoom video conferencing and conference calls; Rippling; Lattice.

  • You process feedback from your teammates and work with your supervisor to act on the feedback. You provide feedback to teammates when prompted.

Compensation & Benefits

The full-time annual salary for this full-time position is $50,000 and is based on a market analysis of comparable job duties and positions within the nonprofit sector and across a variety of United States geographies. Due to our commitment to internal parity within each position and across the company, we do not negotiate salaries.

In addition to this base compensation and flexible work schedule, we offer a generous benefits package to all staff, including:

  • Health insurance: On average, Elevate pays over 95% of the medical premium, 80% of the dental premium, and 80% of the vision premium for employees only. Dependent coverage is the full responsibility of individual employees.
  • Paid time off: 15 days’ vacation, 8 sick days, 12 company holidays, 2 hours of voting leave, and 16 hours of civic engagement leave. 
  • Winter Break: The office closes in the last week of the calendar year (starting anywhere between December 20 and December 25). Employees can choose to take the full break or apply some of this time for religious observance days (up to three) at other times of the year. 
  • Summer Break: The office closes the first week of July. 
  • Sabbatical Leave: Staff with six years of FT service or more are eligible for a 4-week (20 day) paid sabbatical.
  • 401(k) retirement plan- We offer a 2% employer match after the first year of employment.
  • Reimbursements for your personal cell phone and home internet
  • A $200 initial office set up stipend with an additional $100 stipend annually
  • A $500 annual professional development stipend, in addition to a robust and growing internal training program provided free to staff.
