Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will focus primarily on accounts payable (AP) while assisting with other general accounting tasks as needed. This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in accounting within a project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices accurately, ensuring proper approval and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain AP records, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and adherence to project budgets.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including AP accruals and Bank reconciliations
• Communicate with vendors and project managers regarding invoice status and payment issues
• Support the accounting team with data entry, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist with audits by providing documentation related to accounts payable and other accounting activities

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

Experience Requirements

• 2+ year of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with project accounting is a Plus
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software SAP is a Plus.

• Ability to work flexible schedule during monthly closing.
