About the role

As a Field Operations Specialist, you will serve as the primary coordinator for the Field Operations Department and support the Field Operations Manager in the day-to-day management of departmental activities. You will provide the administrative, technical, and operational backbone that keeps projects, personnel, training, and field activities coordinated — while maintaining clear communication across engineering, licensing, operations, and testing organizations.

This role is a great fit for an organized, proactive operator who thrives at the center of a fast-moving team. You will keep the department organized, informed, trained, and ready to safely execute Aalo's objectives.

  • Maintain and track employee certifications, qualifications, and training records to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and administer required technical training programs, including Radiation Worker Training (including proctoring written examinations), Heavy Equipment Operator Training, Criticality Safety Training, and Fissile Material Handler Training.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Field Operations procedures, work instructions, training programs, and readiness initiatives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure field activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Field Operations Manager with departmental reporting, planning, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams.
  • Ability to track and manage certifications, qualifications, records, and training compliance.
  • Strong ownership mindset; comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-iterating environment.
  • Air-travel-compliant form of ID and a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with training administration and proctoring.
  • Exposure to regulatory or licensing processes, PRA, or nuclear QA requirements.
  • Experience coordinating field, manufacturing, or construction operations.
