We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with 5-7 years of SQL expertise and hands-on experience with fund accounting platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing fund accounting data, preparing operational and management reports, and developing automation solutions that improve efficiency and data quality across fund accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze fund accounting, investor, portfolio, and transaction data to identify trends, discrepancies, and business insights.
• Design, develop, and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports for operations, finance, and management teams.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across fund accounting systems and downstream applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

SQL Development

• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data extraction routines.
• Perform data reconciliation, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Optimize SQL queries and reporting processes for performance and scalability.

Fund Accounting System Automation

• Design and implement automation solutions within fund accounting platforms such as LemonEdge, or similar systems.
• Develop workflows, integrations, data import/export processes, and automated reporting solutions.
• Support system enhancements, configuration changes, and process improvements.
• Work with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot system issues and implement fixes.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and data-driven insights.
• Document business processes, technical solutions, and reporting methodologies.
• Support data governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in complex query development and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with one or more fund accounting platforms like Geneva, Investran would be a plus
• Experience in Private Equity accounting a big plus
• Strong understanding of fund accounting concepts, including capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, investor accounting, and portfolio reporting.
• Experience in creating operational, financial, and management reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating fund accounting systems with external applications and data platforms.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Experience working with private equity, venture capital, real estate, or alternative investment funds.

• Data issues, exceptions, and reconciliation breaks are proactively identified and resolved before impacting downstream operations or reporting.
• Reporting and data solutions are well documented, maintainable, and capable of supporting future business growth and system enhancements.
