About ASH Hotel Peter and Paul is seeking an Evening & Weekend Operations Manager to serve as the on-site leader during some of our most dynamic hours. This role is responsible for ensuring a thoughtful, seamless guest experience while overseeing evening and weekend operations across the property.
Set within a historic church, schoolhouse, rectory, and convent, our hotel requires a manager who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and deeply committed to hospitality. This position works closely with the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and events teams to maintain the integrity of the guest experience and the physical space.
About the role
Evening & Weekend Leadership
- Act as Manager on Duty, overseeing all hotel operations during evenings and weekends
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and guests during assigned shifts
- Ensure the property is operating smoothly, safely, and in alignment with Hotel Peter and Paul standards
Guest Experience
- Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service reflective of the hotel’s ethos
- Handle guest concerns, service recovery, and special requests with care and discretion
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively enhance the experience
Front Desk Oversight
- Support front desk operations, including arrivals, departures, and concierge services
- Assist with escalated situations and ensure service standards are upheld
- Maintain strong communication with the daytime team for continuity
Housekeeping & Maintenance Coordination
- Oversee housekeeping performance to ensure rooms and public spaces meet quality standards
- Partner with maintenance to address issues quickly
- Execute projects in conjunction with operations teams
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of guest rooms and public areas
Events & Programming
- Oversee evening and weekend events, including weddings, private gatherings, and cultural programming that happens at the hotel
- Act as liaison between hotel operations and sales - using resumes to monitor happenings
Team Support & Culture
- Lead and support staff with a hands-on, collaborative approach
- Foster a calm, respectful, and solutions-oriented work environment
- Provide guidance and real-time decision-making across departments
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in hospitality, hotel operations, or a related field
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to make thoughtful decisions quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Boutique hotel or independent hospitality experience
- Experience with hotel systems (PMS) and other systems
- Hands-on, visible presence throughout the property
- Detail-driven with a strong sense of care for both guests and the space
- Calm, intuitive, and solution-oriented
The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 60,000 USD per year (New Orleans)
