The Senior Retirement Plan Analyst serves as a key advisor to clients, specializing in defined contribution plan administration and strategic plan design. This role partners with business owners and professional advisors to resolve complex issues, deliver actionable reporting insights, and ensure accurate and efficient plan operations. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, normal business hours
- Remote; Must be willing to travel quarterly to Springfield, IL
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support annual plan review meetings and quarterly reporting discussions for assigned key plan sponsors, presenting results and advising on plan design and strategy
- Partner with business owners, financial advisors, accountants, and other stakeholders to evaluate plan design, address inquiries, and deliver strategic recommendations and solutions
- Manage and support key plan sponsor audits, including coordination with external auditors and preparation/review of audit workpapers
- Oversee and conduct quality review of plan administration and audit activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Interpret and apply defined contribution plan documents to ensure compliance and operational accuracy
- Lead oversight and quality review of team audit activities, while directly managing and supporting one to two strategic plan sponsor audits and relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with an independent Third-Party Administration (TPA) firm
- Extensive expertise in qualified defined contribution plan administration, including deep knowledge of ERISA and IRS/DOL regulations
- Demonstrated proficiency with Relius Administration software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASPPA credentials strongly preferred
- CPA designation

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 100,000 USD per year (Springfield, IL)
