About the role

Reporting directly to Chief People Officer, the Head of People and Organizational Effectiveness will serve as the operational anchor for the People team across Builders Vision and its affiliated entities. In support of Builders Vision’s mission to deploy flexible capital and catalyze market-building solutions across its thematic North Stars (Oceans, Food & Agriculture, and Energy Transition), this leader will oversee end-to-end HR operations – balancing day-to-day tactical execution with forward-looking organizational strategy – across a complex ecosystem. By establishing operational rigor and unifying internal sub-functions, this leader will unblock executive bandwidth for board governance, CEO transition support, and long-term talent strategy.

What you'll do

  • Serving as the primary hands-on HR Business Partner for team leads and managers across Builders Vision, driving daily HR execution, employee relations, and talent decision-making.
  • Establishing internal operating rhythms, prioritization frameworks, and clear handoffs across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Operations to streamline employee lifecycle workflows.
  • Directing, coaching, and mentoring the People team, taking immediate direct management responsibility for the People Operations Manager to elevate functional capabilities.
  • Owning core People metrics and balanced scorecards while coordinating the HR technology suite (including Rippling, CultureAmp, and Wellable) and exploring AI integration to enhance service delivery.
  • Synthesizing organizational insight into a grounded point of view - distilling what's been heard across the business, identifying what's working, and surfacing clear opportunity areas to inform leadership decisions.
  • Embedding the firm's BRICK values (Bravery, Rigor, Inclusion, Curiosity, Kindness) into all operational practices, fostering direct communication, high accountability, and a low-ego workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience across investment platforms, wealth management, investment banking, financial services consulting, or complex family offices, with the ability to speak the language of investment professionals fluently.
  • Clear track record of connecting investment and business goals with organizational purpose and mission, bringing a point of view on how people strategy enables long-term impact, not just operational efficiency.
  • Proven hands-on human resources operator capable of managing the full employee lifecycle, benefits, compensation, and day-to-day tactical & strategic operations across core investment teams and affiliated entities.
  • Demonstrated capability in establishing process discipline, structuring internal operating rhythms, and optimizing workflows across HR sub-functions (TA, Total Rewards, Ops) to unblock leadership decision bottlenecks.
  • Experience assessing organizational capability gaps, refining performance management frameworks, and executing org design strategies as the platform institutionalizes.
  • Direct experience leading, coaching, and mentoring the broader HR team and workforce.
  • Fluency with core People metrics (engagement, turnover, balanced scorecards, etc.) and hands-on experience leveraging modern HR platforms (Rippling, CultureAmp, Wellable) and emerging AI tools to streamline service delivery.

Personal Qualifications

  • High-EQ leader with an authentic, engaging presence who operates as a collaborative business partner rather than a rigid gatekeeper.
  • Intellectually rigorous, collaborative, and low-ego, driven by elevating total organizational capability over personal visibility or ownership.
  • Adaptable professional comfortable navigating organizational ambiguity, CEO transitions, board formation, and complex multi-entity ERISA structures.
  • Aligned with BRICK values (Bravery, Rigor, Inclusion, Curiosity, Kindness) and the principle that clarity is kindness, combining personal humility with direct feedback.
  • Proactive operator who takes immediate initiative, unblocks operational bottlenecks, and confidently operates as an self-sufficient decision maker.
