Videographer / Creative Producer

Videographer / Creative Producer — New York City (Hybrid)

About Comp AI

Most companies still do compliance by hand: manual evidence collection, copy-pasted policies, audit prep that pulls engineers off the roadmap.

Comp AI rebuilds that stack with AI agents that handle the busywork. We are the AI-native compliance and security platform, and one of the fastest-growing companies in the world: 0 to 700 customers in our first year, and still accelerating.

Our AI agents:

  • Collect evidence and map controls
  • Draft and maintain policies
  • Prep for audits
  • Continuously monitor posture against SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and whatever frameworks our customers need next

Compliance is the wedge, not the ceiling. We are building toward continuous, AI-driven cybersecurity: always on, and better the longer a customer uses it.

We move fast and hold a high bar. The team is small enough that each person's work shows up directly in the product.

About the Role

We're hiring a Videographer/Creative Producer to own how Comp AI shows up on screen, end to end. You'll shoot it, cut it, and ship it. This is a generalist content role for someone who can take an idea from a one-line concept to a finished video that earns attention.

We're not looking for generic corporate content. Our videos should feel cinematic, fast-paced, and social-native: sharp cuts, documentary realism, and motion graphics that support the story. You bring the camera sense and the edit, plus the instinct for what works on each platform.

Most people think compliance is boring. Your job is to make people stop scrolling. The content you ship is how a lot of the market meets us for the first time, so the craft matters. You'll work directly with founders and the growth team, see what actually performs, and iterate against it.

This is essentially the role our founder has been running so far — you're stepping in to own it and scale it. We're at Series A stage and scaling from 19 to 40 this year, so there's real ownership and meaningful equity on the table.

What You'll Do

Capture

  • Own the shoot end to end: plan, light, frame, and film — talking heads, b-roll, product, events, and in-the-moment social content.
  • Bring a strong eye for composition, lighting, and sound on location.
  • Run a clean, organized capture-to-edit pipeline on top-tier gear (we provide everything — see below).

Own the edit

  • Take your own footage and cut it: assembly, story, pace, graphics, sound, color, and final delivery.
  • Cut for attention. Trim the fat, keep the hook, and hold the viewer to the end.
  • Set and hold a consistent visual style across everything we publish.

Ship fast

  • Turn around content in days, then iterate on what actually performs.
  • Produce both short-form (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, LinkedIn) and long-form (YouTube, product, brand) work.
  • Bring ideas, not just execution — pitch concepts and series, then make them.

Stay close and partner

  • Work directly with founders and growth from concept through final cut.
  • Take feedback well, iterate fast, and own the creative direction of what you make.
  • Tie your work to outcomes — pay attention to what drives views, watch-time, and engagement, and double down on it.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

  • 3-5+ years creating video professionally as a generalist — you both shoot and edit, with a reel that proves it.
  • Strong on-camera production skills: composition, lighting, and audio capture on location.
  • Fluency in a pro editing suite — Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • A real eye for storytelling, rhythm, and what makes someone keep watching.
  • Solid motion graphics skills (After Effects a strong plus) plus color and audio cleanup.
  • Self-direction. You manage your own pipeline, hit deadlines, and keep quality high without hand-holding.

Strong Candidates May Also Have

  • A track record creating for social platforms and an instinct for what performs on each.
  • Comfort using AI editing tools as part of your daily workflow.
  • Experience making B2B, SaaS, or tech content engaging for technical audiences.
  • Sound design or audio mixing chops, or motion/brand-design range beyond the edit.
  • Experience producing content solo, from concept to publish, at startup speed.

How We Work

  • You think like an owner. The work is yours and the outcome is yours.
  • You use AI to move faster and you stay responsible for what ships.
  • You'd rather ship a sharp video this week and test it than polish one for a month.
  • You hold strong opinions on craft and update them when the numbers say otherwise.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a shoot-only or edit-only seat. You own the whole pipeline, camera to publish.
  • Not a hands-off role. You film it, cut it, design the graphics, and deliver the final yourself.
  • Not a slow, one-video-a-quarter pace. We ship on a real cadence and iterate on what works.

Why Comp AI

  • Momentum you can feel: a Series A stage company scaling from 19 to 40 this year. You're joining as the engine spins up, not after.
  • Real ownership and scope. The content you ship is how the market meets us, and your work shows up directly in the numbers.
  • Meaningful equity. You build value into something early and share in the upside.
  • Direct access to founders. Decisions happen in conversation, not in a committee.

Compensation and Logistics

Base: $80,000 - $100,000, plus meaningful equity (~0.10-0.30%). Title and level scale with experience.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in New York City. You'll be in person for shoots and team time, with flexibility to edit remotely.

Visa sponsorship: We don't sponsor visas at this time.

Gear We'll Provide

You don't bring your own kit — we equip you with a full professional setup:

  • Sony FX3 + Sony FX30s
  • Sigma zooms + primes
  • Ronin + DJI gimbals
  • Professional lighting + audio kits
  • Top-tier MacBook Pro

Perks

  • Unlimited PTO on top of US federal holidays.
  • 100% covered health, dental, and vision.
  • Quarterly team offsites to bond and have fun.
  • An exceptionally high-caliber team to learn from.

How to Apply

Send your reel or portfolio and a short note on your favorite thing you've shot and edited, and why. We care more about what you've made than where you've worked.
