In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll and HR processes. You'll manage payroll administration across the United States and Canada, support People Operations for our corporate workforce, and help strengthen the systems and processes that contribute to a positive employee experience.

You'll also serve as a trusted resource for our US corporate employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, workplace matters, and day-to-day employee relations concerns.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on HR operations with problem-solving, process improvement, and meaningful employee interactions. You'll work closely with People & Culture leadership and cross-functional teams while taking ownership of important initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Manage US and Canada payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing for salaried, hourly, and Video Interpreter employees.
  • Process payroll transactions, including compensation changes, bonuses, commissions, overtime, deductions, and off-cycle payments.
  • Manage payroll deductions, contributions, and remittances, coordinating with the Benefits & Leave team to ensure accurate processing and reconciliation.
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies, interpret applicable wage and payroll requirements, and implement appropriate corrections.
  • Partner with People & Culture leadership and Finance on payroll reconciliations, audits, year-end tax reporting (including W-2s and T4s), Canadian Records of Employment (ROEs), and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain payroll systems, records, and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage US and Canada corporate employee onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle activities, including employment documentation and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and prepare workforce and payroll reports to support business decisions and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for US corporate employees and managers, independently addressing routine employee relations concerns and providing HR policy guidance.
  • Coach managers on employee expectations, attendance, performance concerns, and workplace conduct, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Administer Video Interpreter starting pay placement and credential-based rate changes in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Lead HR and payroll process improvements and collaborate on broader People & Culture initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
  • Provide occasional onsite HR support at our Austin location when geographically available.
