About the role
Supports Deputy Center Director and performs a variety of administrative duties. Provides administrative assistance and
support to all departments in Career Services including Career Preparation/Counseling, Academics, and Career Technical
Training.
What you'll do
âą Perform administrative duties to include typing, filing, dictation, receiving and routing visitors, sorting, and
distributing mail, etc.
âą Arrange details of meetings, participants, agendas, etc.
âą Maintain correspondence log, documenting incoming and outgoing correspondence.
âą Act as liaison between the Deputy Center Director and functional area department heads.
âą Oversee Career Services reports control activities, ensuring timely receipt by department heads and submission
to Center Director, Department of Labor, and Corporate office.
âą Draft routine correspondence for Deputy Center Director signature.
âą Compile and summarize standard statistical information.
âą Gather materials to copy and sort into training/workshops binders.
âą Proofread written material for accuracy, check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
Qualifications
High School graduate or High School Equivalency required with 3-5 years advanced secretarial experience. Prefer
graduation from an accredited or certified advanced training program in secretarial science or related area. Minimum
keyboarding skills - 55 wpm. Must possess computer skills and be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet
software programs.
The pay range for this role is:
20 - 22 USD per hour (St. Louis JCC Main)
