Job Summary: Assist the VLM Technician in all day-to-day operations. Help maintain proficiency in the VLM management tools and use strategic planning to organize and group items to meet business needs. Upkeep the digital infrastructure (store positions, sizes, and placement on VLM website). Physically load and unload the VLMs and maintain synchronization between ERP (BC) and VLM interface.  

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the induction, organization, and issuing of items using VLMs to support multiple DCU departments and stock managers  
  • Assist in implementing storage systems using the VLM management site.  
  • Organize items in a digital framework which mirrors physical storage layout 
  • Upkeep the priority and slotting of item storage locations 
  • Refine and maintain product affinity for associated parts (BOM Components).  
  • Identify and organize a wide array of unique items. 
  • Receive incoming material shipments and transfers 
  • Maintain clear and accurate labeling and item identification 
  • Participate in inventories and cycle counts to maintain accountability of items.  
  • Physically and digitally carry out inventory actions including transfers, issues, and receipts.  
  • Assist in maintaining contract hardware orders in dedicated storage positions 
  • Assist with labelling contract hardware orders  
  • Maintain proficiency in general use, safety, and care of VLM equipment 
  • Other shipping and inventory related tasks as assigned 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

 

  • At least one year of warehouse and stock operations experience 
  • Highly organized and methodical 
  • Intermediate Computer skills 
  • Inventory experience 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Lift up to 50lbs 
  • Stand for periods of 8 hours
