Finance Administrator (Excel & Salesforce Specialist)

Reporting to: Director of Data Ops

The Role

This is a hands-on Finance Administrator (Salesforce & Excel) role responsible for maintaining accurate, complete sales and deal data across Salesforce and Excel. You will be a key point of contact for the sales, Customer Success, and finance teams, ensuring Salesforce deal and churn records are clean, closed deals are correctly reflected, and information flows accurately into our reporting.

You will maintain the integrity of core sales, deal, and churn data that adds real value, underpinning reliable reporting and clean customer and sales records. Your attention to detail will strengthen the controls that matter most to the business, from Salesforce data governance and sales reconciliations to maintaining the Excel Deal Value Sheet.

Alongside day-to-day processing, you will support key finance activities including sales and churn reconciliations and Salesforce data clean-up. Working closely with the wider finance and Customer Success teams, you will help ensure the function operates efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard globally.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Data

  • Maintaining the Excel Deal Value Sheet so it accurately reflects all deals recorded in Salesforce — a significant, ongoing part of the role.
  • Accurately entering and maintaining sales and churn data from Salesforce in the master sales database
  • Performing sales and churn reconciliations following each month-end
  • Supporting the clean-up of Deal Value data in Salesforce, from the earliest recorded deal through to the most recent.
  • Ensuring all newly closed deals in Salesforce are captured correctly and reflected promptly in the Deal Value Sheet.
  • Working closely with the Customer Success team to ensure churn and retention data in Salesforce is accurate and reflected correctly in the Deal Value Sheet.

Experience Required

Essential

  • Finance function experience — 3-5 years of experience working within a busy finance team, including exposure to a global or multi-entity environment, with an understanding of how transactional finance supports the wider business.
  • Salesforce knowledge — Solid working knowledge of Salesforce, including how opportunity, account, and deal records are structured, sufficient to extract, query, and validate deal data accurately and confidently.
  • Attention to detail — Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record maintenance, with a methodical approach and a commitment to getting things right first time.
  • Excel skills — Advanced Excel skills, comfortable working with large data sets and using functions such as lookups, filtering, and pivot tables to organise, reconcile, and check data.
  • Communication & organisation — Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage a busy inbox, respond professionally to customer, supplier, and employee queries, and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.

Desirable

  • Salesforce experience — Hands-on experience maintaining or reporting from Salesforce would be a real advantage, though experience with other comparable CRM systems is also valued.
  • Systems aptitude — Familiarity with CRM/sales systems such as Salesforce, and comfort picking up new reporting or data tools.
  • Global / SaaS environment — Previous experience in a global business or a fast-paced SaaS/technology environment, working across time zones and with international colleagues.

Additional Information
