Financial Analyst
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Financial Analyst to join our corporate Finance team. This is a full-time, entry-level role designed for a top member of the Class of 2026 who wants to learn how an institutional real estate platform is financially managed — from property-level budgets to portfolio-wide reporting.
You will support budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and financial analysis across our multifamily and commercial portfolio, working closely with Accounting, Asset Management, Property Operations, and senior leadership.
You will also build and refine the analytical tools and reports that leadership uses to run the business. No prior work experience is required. We will train you. We are looking for strong analytical horsepower, fluency with modern AI tools, intellectual honesty, and a strong work ethic.
What You Will Do
• Build and maintain financial models and reporting tools in Excel: operating cash flow projections, capex tracking, sensitivity analyses, and portfolio dashboards.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages and KPI dashboards covering occupancy, rent growth, collections, expense ratios, and NOI.
• Support lender and investor reporting, including debt service coverage and covenant compliance tracking. • Perform budget-to-actual and variance analysis; identify the drivers behind performance and communicate them clearly to property operations and leadership.
• Analyze operating data (rent rolls, T-12s, general ledger detail) to normalize expenses and flag trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support the annual budgeting process for properties and corporate functions, including revenue, operating expense, payroll, and capital expenditure budgets.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts and reforecasts at the property and portfolio level.
• Support ad hoc analysis for leadership, including cost-saving initiatives, vendor and contract analysis, refinancing scenarios, and periodic support on new investments.
• Use AI tools to accelerate data review, reporting, and model auditing — and help build automated workflows for the finance function.
• Partner with Accounting on month-end close support, accruals review, and reconciliation of reporting to the general ledger.
Who You Are
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a closely related quantitative field, graduating in 2026.
• Strong academic record from a competitive undergraduate program.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build clean, auditable models and reports from scratch — not just operate templates.
• Solid grasp of financial statements and core accounting concepts.
• Demonstrated fluency with modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or comparable) for research, analysis, and productivity.
• Sharp written and verbal communication; able to turn numbers into a clear story and recommendation.
• High attention to detail, intellectual honesty, and an ownership mentality.
• Willingness to work in person in our Beverly Hills office.
Preferred (Not Required)
• Internship experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, real estate, or asset management.
• Coursework in real estate finance, corporate finance, or financial reporting.
• Exposure to property management or accounting systems (e.g., Yardi), or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or VBA — or a demonstrated interest in learning.
• Experience building AI-powered tools, automations, or prompts that actually shipped.
What We Offer
• Direct exposure to senior leadership and visibility into how a full real estate platform is run financially.
• A seat at the center of the business — your analysis shapes budgets, operating decisions, and portfolio strategy.
• A platform actively investing in AI and modern tooling, with appetite for new ideas from the bottom up.
• Competitive base salary, performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
• A fast, lean culture where good work is noticed quickly and responsibility scales with capability.
