Vice President, Omnichannel Media

About Ritual

Ritual is a personal health brand that is raising the bar for daily wellness. Known for our best-selling, clinically backed prenatal, we create science-backed supplements with transparency at their core. We believe women deserve products they can trust, backed by real evidence—not just promises.

We started by reinventing the multivitamin with the first visible supply chain of its kind. Today, we’re expanding into new categories with the same high standards that built our reputation. Hundreds of thousands trust Ritual, and we’re growing fast.

Our team of 120+ scientists, creatives, and skeptics is raising the bar for women’s health. We’re venture-backed, based in sunny Los Angeles, and always looking for people ready to challenge the industry—and do the best work of their careers.

About the role

We're looking for a VP, Omnichannel Media to build and lead the most sophisticated phase of media investment in Ritual's history. This is a rare opportunity to own Ritual's full omnichannel media budget as a single connected system that builds awareness among new audiences and converts category demand into profitable growth. You'll move our media engine from performance buying to advanced audience strategy and measurement, scaling channels from TV to paid social with the reach, frequency, and incrementality rigor that ties spend to total demand creation. You'll lead our full in-house media team across paid social, paid search, affiliate and partnerships, influencer marketing, and ad creative strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, you’ll be both a strategic thought partner and experienced team operator, expected to not only craft and lead exceptional strategy, but also shape how we work effectively as an organization.

What you'll do

  • Own Ritual's omnichannel media budget as one connected system. Lead annual planning, monthly reporting, and in-flight optimization across the full media budget, treating it as a single system to be distributed against opportunity and channel economics.
  • Run a continuous testing and measurement roadmap. Partner with Analytics to lead our testing program, anchored in geo-holdout incrementality, MMM, and audience analysis. Expand this program over time to support our omnichannel goals.
  • Scale awareness and top-of-funnel media. Build the muscle for top-of-funnel demand creation through TV and other awareness channels. Use reach, frequency distribution, and audience insights to grow household penetration and total demand. Decide which channels are the pillars of awareness expansion, and turn them into operationalized capabilities.
  • Own performance creative as a driver of media efficiency. Direct performance creative as a capability inside omnichannel media, and bring a sharp point of view on positioning and creative to the work. Partner with Product & Brand Marketing on execution, treating creative as one of the most important levers for translating complex science into consumer trust.
  • Be a strong team operator and cross-functional partner. Lead a team of in-house media strategists and buyers, supported by agency partners, into its next phase of automation and scale. Stay curious about how the rest of the business works, build strong relationships across channel leads, Analytics, and Brand, and guide your team to do the same, so media operates as a true partner in a matrixed organization.

Who you are

  • Scalable Operator: You design processes, structures, and ways of working that enable the organization to scale effectively without sacrificing quality, resilience, or organizational health.
  • Thoughtful Decision-Maker: You make informed decisions with incomplete information, communicating risks and assumptions clearly. You have the confidence to make big, calculated bets and the discipline to measure them sharply, and to bring others along.
  • Systems Thinker and Team Multiplier: You operate fluently in a matrixed environment, building trust with Analytics, the DTC, Wholesale, and Amazon and Marketplaces channel leads, and Integrated Marketing. You understand each channel's goals alongside the goals of the organization at large. Beyond your own team, you're someone others call on to work through cross-functional tension and align a room with competing priorities.
  • Experienced People  Manager: You balance guidance with autonomy, giving your team ownership while setting a high standard. You flex your coaching style to where each person is in their development, and you develop media buyers into sharper operators and decision-makers who own their channels.
  • Trusted Communicator: You give feedback that's specific enough to change behavior and kind enough that people stay motivated. You're comfortable representing Ritual externally — with agency partners, platform reps, and industry contacts — and internally you help other leaders sharpen how they communicate, not just your own team.
  • Change Leader: You've led a team through a first-of-its-kind shift before — new measurement discipline, a new channel, a new operating model — and you know how to keep people grounded and productive while the ground moves. You read the difference between momentum worth accelerating and change fatigue worth managing, and you turn pivots into muscle the team keeps.

What you'll need

  • 12+ years of progressive media experience, including VP-level or equivalent senior leadership scope, with a track record of scaling media investment in a high-growth consumer brand beyond $500M in revenue.
  • Proven expertise in omnichannel media across top-of-funnel and performance channels — TV, paid social, paid search, influencer and creator, affiliate, and retail media — with specific, demonstrated experience scaling TV and the measurement pivots it requires.
  • Demonstrated experience bringing a media buying organization from a performance-media focus to sophisticated audience targeting and measurement, including MMM, operationalized incrementality testing, and audience analysis.
  • A clear command of payback and channel economics, with a track record of optimizing for profitable new customer acquisition and making the tradeoffs between sales channel economics explicit.
  • Strong people leadership experience, with a track record of building and developing in-house media teams and orienting them around bold, well-measured decisions. You operate effectively in a matrixed environment and build trust across analytics, brand, and commercial partners.
  • Fluency in reach, frequency distribution, and audience saturation, with the ability to translate reach measures into demand impact and build a media playbook that grows awareness and household penetration to drive total demand.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed above. We're committed to building a diverse team and recognize that skills can be developed in many different ways.
