Warehouse Manager, 2nd Shift

Schylling's warehouse operations are in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager, 2nd Shift to lead our 2nd shift team. Second shift runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.


Responsibilities:

  •  Responsible for the overall safety and welfare of the DC facility and staff by addressing both physical safety issues and creating a culture of safety.
  • Ensures that the operation complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Must have the ability to develop metrics, monitor KPIs and put in place systems and processes to track real time operational performance.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and training to warehouse associates at all levels placing an emphasis on culture, talent evaluation and leadership development.
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders.
  • Responsible for managing and building continuous improvement relationships with internal/external stakeholders and vendors.
  • Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations.
  • Creates and provides a leadership style that ensures a positive, efficient, and safe work environment.
  • Manages the site level budget, ensuring financial metrics are achieved.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5-10 years as Warehouse/Distribution Center leader in retail distribution or e-commerce with progressive advancement in a warehouse/ distribution center environment.
  • Ability to understand the financial management of the warehouse, including budget preparation and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of distribution, transportation, and inventory management principles and practices with a strong customer focus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supply chain systems (i.e., WMS, Inventory Planning, ERP, etc.)
  • Experience working with remote headquarters and functional resources, ability to build effective relationships, solve problems, and get things done.
  • Ability to work the second shift Monday through Friday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • High standard of integrity and reliability; able to build trust and loyalty with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team leadership in a collaborative business model
  • Exceptional level of self-awareness and level-headedness
  • Balance of proactive and reactive management styles.

 

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000. Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.
