About the Role

Sentry Fire Protection is seeking an Experienced Sprinkler Fitter to perform inspections, installations, maintenance, and repairs of fire protection systems, including water based sprinklers, foam systems, gas agent systems, and fire pumps. This position requires strong technical ability, safety focus, and a commitment to quality service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, semi‑annual, and annual fire system inspections
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on sprinkler, foam, gas agent, and fire pump systems
• Install, test, and maintain water based suppression systems
• Fabricate and install fire protection piping
• Read/interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Maintain safety compliance and follow all codes/standards
• Collaborate with other trades on job sites
• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections and repairs
• Travel locally using a company vehicle
• Maintain/pursue good standing with Local 853
• Utilize backflow certification, if applicable

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter certification
• Good Standing Member (or pursuing membership) of Local 853 (Union)
• Valid Ontario G class driver’s license
• Experience with water based, foam, gas agent, and pump systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Fall Protection / Working at Heights training (asset)
• Elevated Work Platform training (asset)
• Strong communication and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all season
• Backflow Certificate is an asset
