Project Scope:

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking comprehensive Project Management and Construction Management support for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at the Tuskegee VA Medical Center. The contractor will serve as an extension of the VA project team and support the COR throughout construction.

The work includes project management, construction oversight, project controls, schedule and budget monitoring, change management, constructability review, submittal and RFI coordination, inspections and testing, commissioning support, quality assurance, field verification, as-built documentation, issue resolution, claims support, progress meetings, reporting, and coordination with VA personnel, A/E teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders.


Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum three (3) years directly related to field construction activities, quality assurance, and contractor performance monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction practices
  • Knowledge of General Contractor and subcontractor field operations
  • Construction administration
  • Construction schedule monitoring
  • Baseline schedule review  
  • Performing daily field inspections
  • Quality assurance and quality control
  • Submittal review and management 
  • Request for Information (RFI) tracking and coordination
  • Inspection and testing coordination
  • Deficiency identification and reporting
  • Construction change order support
  • Budget monitoring
  • Commissioning support
  • Claims analysis support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Construction management software proficiency


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.  Evidence of work experience or knowledge to compensate for the absence of higher education is acceptable.


 Desired Experience and Skills

  • VA Medical Center construction experience
  • Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) experience
  • Occupied healthcare facility construction
  • Cost estimating support for contract modifications
  • OSHA 30 or ability to obtain within 60 days.



The pay range for this role is:

95,000 - 115,000 USD per month (Tuskegee, AL)
