TMS Technician / Patient Care Coordinator-Irvine, CA

About the Role

We are currently looking for a full-time TMS Technician / Patient Care Coordinator at our Irvine clinic. This is an in-person role working Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM.

The TMS Technician / Patient Care Coordinator works closely with the treatment team to provide compassionate, individualized patient care while supporting interventional psychiatric treatments and daily clinic operations. This position is responsible for conducting treatment sessions, monitoring patients throughout treatment, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and helping ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their care journey.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Our Patients

  • Conduct interventional psychiatric treatment sessions and document services accurately and timely.
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional status and provide individualized patient care.
  • Provide patient care and monitoring according to physician orders, care plans, established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare and review medical records to evaluate patients' physical and emotional status.
  • Educate and support patients throughout their treatment experience and respond to questions with professionalism and compassion.
  • Protect patient rights and maintain the confidentiality of personal and medical information in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Our Team

  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the treatment team to support coordinated patient care.
  • Communicate relevant patient progress, concerns, or changes to the appropriate clinical provider.
  • Coordinate effectively with professionals from diverse backgrounds and at different levels.
  • Maintain a professional, patient-centered, and customer-service-oriented approach.

Our Business & Clinical Operations

  • Complete and sign all patient notes in the electronic medical record system within 48 hours of service.
  • Sign, date, and complete all charting and recordkeeping in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Upload and mark up fMRI data as needed.
  • Conduct literature reviews as needed.
  • Assist with data management and clinical research projects.
  • Follow all established health, safety, clinical, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support daily clinic operations and overall clinic efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant healthcare, clinical, patient care, or similar experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within an electronic medical record system.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with professionals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to providing exceptional individualized patient care.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the Irvine clinic.


 

Preferred:

  • TMS Certification.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/BLS certification.
  • Seizure Safety Certification.
  • Experience with TMS or other interventional psychiatric treatments.
  • Experience in behavioral or mental healthcare.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records.
  • Familiarity with fMRI data, data management, or clinical research.
