Personal Injury Attorney, New York

Our Story

TopDog Law is not your typical law firm. We're a nationally scaling personal injury firm built for impact and growth, growing the client experience end-to-end, from marketing and intake through litigation. We believe that world-class marketing, paired with exceptional legal talent and operations, creates better experiences and outcomes for clients and the business alike.

Over the past three years, we've grown 2–3x year over year, setting a new standard on the marketing side of the personal injury space and proving what's possible when strategy, speed, and execution align. Now we're applying that same discipline and innovation to firm operations, case management, and national scale,  intentionally building the infrastructure, systems, and teams to grow without sacrificing quality, culture, or accountability.

We are a fully remote team that share trust, open communication, and a commitment to doing great work. If you love ownership, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to help build something exceptional, you'll feel right at home here.

The Opportunity

As we continue to rapidly expand our New York practice, we are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to lead a high-performing pre-litigation team while driving exceptional client outcomes. This role is for a leader who thrives on building case value, developing people, improving systems, and taking complete ownership of both case performance and team success. You'll have the autonomy, resources, and support to maximize recoveries while helping shape the future of one of the fastest-growing personal injury firms in the country.

What You Will Own

  • Own the full lifecycle of a pre-litigation personal injury caseload from intake through settlement, ensuring every case advances strategically, efficiently, and with urgency while preparing each matter as though it may ultimately proceed to litigation.
  • Evaluate new claims by analyzing liability, insurance coverage, medical records, damages, and collectability to determine case viability and develop strategic plans designed to maximize client recovery.
  • Build case value through thorough factual investigation, evidence preservation, witness development, strategic medical guidance, and early identification of liability and damages.
  • Lead all aspects of pre-litigation advocacy, including insurance claims, examinations under oath, hearings, negotiations, and other advocacy necessary to achieve exceptional client outcomes.
  • Negotiate aggressively with insurance carriers and opposing parties to maximize settlements while protecting the firm's reputation for trial-ready case preparation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of paralegals and case managers by conducting regular file strategy meetings, removing roadblocks, setting priorities, fostering accountability, and creating a culture of urgency, ownership, and excellence.
  • Maintain complete ownership of your case inventory by proactively managing treatment progression, medical records collection, demands, negotiations, critical deadlines, and settlement opportunities to ensure no case stalls and every file reaches its maximum potential.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication, education, transparency, and guidance, building trust while effectively managing expectations throughout the life of every case.
  • Analyze medical treatment, future care needs, lost earnings, vocational issues, and all categories of damages while collaborating with medical providers, experts, and vendors to maximize claim value.
  • Partner with attorneys, litigation teams, medical providers, and firm leadership to improve workflows, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, increase operational efficiency, and continually elevate department performance.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, building scalable systems, and implementing solutions that improve case outcomes, team productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable laws, court rules, and professional responsibility requirements.
  • Take full ownership of your practice by treating every case, every client, and every team member's success as your responsibility, consistently demonstrating leadership, accountability, and a commitment to building a high-performing pre-litigation department.
