About the Team

We’re currently seeking a Production Assistant, working out of our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. This position works directly with the Production Planning Manager, manufacturing teams, and internal departments to coordinate, plan, and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.

 

About the Role

The Production Assistant will work under the direction of the Production Planning Manager to complete a variety of administrative tasks that are essential to the smooth functioning of departments like operations, scheduling, purchasing, and finance among others. This position will also work directly with Production Manager and Scheduler to define product builds and create bill of materials (BOMs) using our ERP system.


What You Will Do

  • Input data into NetSuite ERP system such as:
    • Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) and item IDs for both standard and non-standard products
    • Add labor to work orders
    • Process sales orders when complete
    • Releases completed sales orders to shipping
    • Maintenance of BOMs and Item Ids
  • Coordinate with Purchasing teams for any custom materials
  • Communicate with management on product discrepancies
  • Coordinate in-office events, like luncheons and office parties
  • Serve as point of contact for employees to connect them with Human Resources

 

What You Will Need

  • Experience working in an administrative capacity for production
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, setting production priorities on a daily basis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, like NetSuite
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, like excel and word
  • Enjoy being part of a team, but also feel comfortable working on your own and taking initiative

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer.  Work will require individuals to enter plant areas where performance factors such as heat, noise, dust, lifting of materials, and working around equipment will be encountered.
