  • Support the development of functional prototypes to assess their performance and validate design concepts.
  • Transform high-level requirements into well-defined and efficient subsystem designs.
  • Create comprehensive product operational and safety procedures, ensuring clarity and adherence to best practices.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine and enhance mechanical designs throughout the development process.
  • Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely completion of tasks related to mechanical design within the broader project timeline.

Who you are. Some combination of the following skills, abilities, experience, and attributes will help you thrive in this role:

  •  Are currently studying or have experience in Mechatronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Collaboration is core to what we do. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with larger projects.

  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming
  • Working in a collaborative software environment using Git and GitLab
  • Exposure to design, production, and manufacturing environments
  • Continuous improvement activities within an interdisciplinary team (electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, operations)
  • Functional testing of system and subsystems to prove reliability

What our teammates enjoy. We build robots and deeply appreciate our humans. We move swiftly and expect a lot from each other. We build our work around this.

  • We value our people. We offer competitive compensation and depending on your experience this position has an hourly range of $25.00 to $31.00 per hour.
  • We value your time. We support work-life integration that focuses on delivering results not completing a timesheet. We flex to get the job – and life – done.
  • We recharge with downtime. A start-up can be a busy place. We encourage all our people to take a vacation on top of statutory holidays.
  • We know learning never ends. We support our people in pursuing ongoing development and learning throughout the year.
  • We support relocation. Moving to a new place for a short time can come at a significant financial cost. We offer financial support to our students to help with this. This position is on-site at our location in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

What we believe At 4AG Robotics, we embrace the fast pace of start-up life. Innovation drives us, and staying open to new ideas keeps us moving forward.
