Position Overview

We are seeking experienced, highly motivated Security Guards to join our Community-Based Patrol & Engagement team. This role is centered on proactive, hands-on involvement within public environments, focusing on safety, relationship-building, and mentorship.

Successful candidates will play a dual role: maintaining a secure presence while actively engaging with the community and supporting the development of incoming training personnel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols in public and community spaces
  • Provide a visible, approachable, and professional security presence
  • Engage with members of the public to build trust and foster positive relationships
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies in a calm and effective manner
  • De-escalate conflicts using strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Monitor and report safety concerns, hazards, and suspicious activities
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs

Mentorship & Training

  • Act as a mentor and role model to new and incoming security personnel
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance in real-time operational settings
  • Support onboarding by demonstrating best practices in patrol, engagement, and reporting
  • Encourage professional development and adherence to company standards

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Security Guard License (as required by provincial regulations)
  • Minimum [2+ years] experience in security, preferably in public-facing environments
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically capable of extended periods of walking and standing
  • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred or required)
  • Clean criminal record check
