Summary:

The Value Engineer plays a critical role in supporting enterprise sales by translating data into compelling, customer-specific insights, and ROI narratives. This role partners closely with the sales team to quantify the impact of Bamboo's solutions including our AI-forward care navigation solutions for health systems, provider organizations, and health plans.


This individual will lead ROI modeling, develop executive-ready materials, and serve as a subject matter expert across value-based care, healthcare economics, and operational workflows—helping prospects clearly understand the financial and clinical value of our solutions.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner closely with enterprise sales team to support deals across health systems, provider organizations, and health plans.
  • Lead development and execution of ROI models by gathering customer-specific inputs and translating them into clear, data-driven insights.
  • Present ROI findings and value narratives to prospective customers in partnership with sales.
  • Develop compelling, tailored presentations that clearly communicate Bamboo's impact, value, and differentiation, leveraging AI tools to enhance storytelling and efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sales conversations, including ROI modeling, care navigation workflows, and operational considerations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (analytics, product, operations, implementation), to support deal-specific needs, including custom analyses and workflow design.
  • Support development of joint execution plans with customers to ensure alignment on expected outcomes and value realization.
  • Apply expertise in value-based care and healthcare economics to strengthen customer conversations and positioning.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance workflows through AI or automation tools (e.g., document summarization, task routing, or data parsing).
  • Identify repetitive tasks and partner with team leads to implement scalable automation solutions.
  • Stay curious about emerging AI tools and how they can streamline or enhance work within your function.

 

What Success Looks Like…

In 3 months…

  • Become proficient in Bamboo's offerings, ROI models, and core value drivers.
  • Independently run ROI models using customer data inputs with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support sales calls as a knowledgeable contributor on ROI and value-based care concepts.
  • Identify at least one opportunity in your role to pilot or apply AI or automation (e.g., streamlining a task, summarizing data, generating content).
  • Begin incorporating AI-supported tools into your day-to-day work—whether through analysis, documentation, or task management.

In 6 months…

  • Lead ROI modeling and insights development for active deals with minimal oversight.
  • Confidently present value narratives and ROI outputs to prospective customers.
  • Build strong partnerships with sales and internal stakeholders to support complex deal cycles.
  • Contribute to refining and improving ROI models, tools, and presentation materials.

In 12 months…

  • Act as a trusted partner to sales, consistently influencing deal strategy through insights and value articulation.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to ROI modeling, storytelling, and sales enablement materials.
  • Help standardize best practices for communicating value across Bamboo opportunities.
  • Drive measurable impact on deal conversion through effective value engineering.


What You Need:

  • 8+ years of total experience, including 5+ years in value-based care, healthcare consulting, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare economics and value drivers (e.g., hospital throughput, length of stay, capacity management, readmissions, ED/IP utilization, and service line growth).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build models and translate insights into executive-ready materials that tell a compelling story.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience in customer-facing roles and a desire to partner closely with sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows.
  • A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment, creativity, and ownership in designing solutions.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.
  • Ability to travel periodically for work.
