Job Title: Email Marketing and Content Specialist 


Hours: Full time, permanent. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Location: Mainly remote and work on-site at our Campus Support Centre in Mississauga (L5N 6S2) as required.


Start Date: Immediate



The Opportunity:


We are seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven Email Marketing and Content Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the power of storytelling in email and campaign messaging. The Email Marketing and Content Specialist is responsible for executing and optimizing email marketing strategies to enhance lead nurturing, student engagement, and alumni communication. This role supports the marketing team by mapping and creating student journey-based email sequences and writing engaging content for various marketing campaigns.



What you'll be doing:

  • Craft compelling content for email campaigns, landing pages, lead nurturing sequences, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Tailor messaging to resonate across different stages of the customer journey.
  • Refine content based on performance insights, including testing different messaging approaches to improve engagement.
  • Research and understand target audiences to ensure content speaks to their needs and pain points.
  • Conduct competitor research and market scans to identify trends and introduce new tactics that improve email engagement and performance.
  • Monitor and analyze email metrics and make data-driven recommendations to improve results.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Engagement Manager to ensure email efforts are integrated into the broader digital marketing strategy.
  • Support the marketing team with content development including emails, website content, press releases and blogs.
  • Contribute to special marketing projects as needed, supporting new initiatives or cross-functional campaigns.


What you bring to the position:

  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing and content writing.
  • Solid understanding of email marketing best practices and compliance requirements under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
  • Advanced written communication skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, and tone.
  • Ability to write and edit compelling email copy that aligns with brand voice and speaks to specific audience segments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and generate insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with content, creative, and digital teams.

This role ensures that email marketing is a strategic, high-performing channel that supports enrollment growth and student engagement while playing an active role in the overall success of the marketing department.



Key KPIs:

  • Increase in email open rates, CTR, engagement and conversions. 
  • Reduction in unsubscribe rates and stronger audience retention.
  • Creation of content that drives measurable user action (e.g. clicks, downloads, or inquiries).
  • Alignment of content with brand voice and campaign objectives.
  • Contribution to content pipeline and cross-functional marketing initiatives.
