Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

The Opportunity:

The Email Automation Specialist is responsible for executing and optimizing CRM and email marketing strategies using LeadSquared and Act-On to enhance lead nurturing, student engagement, and alumni communication.

This role supports the marketing team by building automated workflows, writing compelling email content, and identifying opportunities to improve performance and innovation.


In addition to campaign execution, this role contributes to content writing and storytelling initiatives across the department and supports special projects and team execution as needed. The specialist works closely with the Brand Experience Lead, Communications Specialist, and Digital Engagement Manager to ensure messaging is consistent, high quality, and aligned with strategic goals.



What you'll do:

  • Develop and manage email automation workflows and campaigns in LeadSquared and Act-On that support lead generation, student retention, and alumni communications.
  • Write and edit engaging, brand-aligned email content in collaboration with the Brand Experience Lead and Communications Specialist.
  • Conduct competitor research and market scans to identify trends and introduce new tactics that improve email engagement and performance.
  • Monitor and analyze email metrics (open rate, CTR, conversions, unsubscribes) and make data-driven recommendations to improve results.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Engagement Manager to ensure email efforts are integrated into the broader digital marketing strategy.
  • Support the marketing team with content development, special projects, and general marketing execution based on evolving business needs.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Experience with LeadSquared or Act-On is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of customer journey mapping and building automated email workflows.
  • Solid understanding of email marketing best practices and CASL compliance.
  • Proven ability to write and design engaging, conversion-focused email content.
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and generate insights.
  • Proficiency in marketing platforms and tools; familiarity with CRM integrations preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with content, creative, and digital teams.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to support other marketing channels as part of an integrated marketing strategy.
