Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Specialist, Website Strategy & Design at Dreww, you own the end-to-end execution of website initiatives from strategy through launch, ensuring high-quality delivery on time. Your core responsibility is designing high-converting websites in Figma, translating ecommerce growth and lead generation strategy into clear site architecture, user flows, page hierarchy, and high-fidelity mockups/prototypes that guide what we build and how it performs.

You work closely with our Ecommerce Growth and Lead Generation specialists and strategists to shape offer, messaging, and value props into conversion-focused page experiences. You also partner tightly with our Senior Front-End Web Developer to bring those designs to life in the CMS. Post-launch, you monitor website performance KPIs with conversion rate as the primary metric, alongside bounce rate, scroll depth, user journeys, and CTA and form engagement, and use those insights to inform ongoing iteration.

At Dreww, we have high standards for design, but we do not design for Awwwards. We design websites for clarity, usability, speed, and conversion, and every decision should tie back to business growth.

As a Senior Specialist, Website Strategy & Design, you will be responsible for the following:

Website Strategy and Discovery

  • Lead website discovery and audit work when needed, including heuristic reviews, competitive scans, funnel drop-off analysis, and qualitative insights.
  • Partner closely with Ecommerce Growth and Lead Generation specialists and strategists to ensure the website experience reflects the growth strategy and supports campaign and funnel objectives.
  • Turn offer, messaging, and value propositions into on-page messaging architecture, section requirements, and content direction that teams can execute against.

Design Mockups/Prototypes in Figma

  • Translate ecommerce growth and lead generation strategy into Figma-based website structure, page hierarchy, and conversion-focused user flows.
  • Own low-fidelity wireframes that clarify information hierarchy, flow, and section intent before design moves forward.
  • Own high-fidelity mockups/prototypes in Figma that communicate UI direction, layout, component intent, and interaction patterns clearly.
  • Build, maintain, and evolve Figma design systems that enable consistent, scalable website experiences, including components, styles, tokens, grids, and responsive patterns.

Media and Content Sourcing

  • Define the media content requirements for each page and section, including what photos, videos, graphics, icons, and testimonials are needed to support the messaging and improve conversion.
  • Source, request, and coordinate the required media assets from internal teams, clients, and available libraries, and use AI tools when appropriate to generate or extend assets needed for prototyping and launch.
  • Ensure media assets are production-ready for the build by confirming format, sizing, quality standards, usage rights, and placement requirements, and by documenting what is needed for implementation.

Copy and Messaging Execution

  • Draft first-pass website copy using AI tools so design and prototyping can move fast, then partner with a proofreader or copywriter for final polish while ensuring copy and UI work together for clarity, hierarchy, and conversion.

Front-End Collaboration and Implementation Quality

  • Partner tightly with the Senior Front-End Web Developer to translate Figma designs into build-ready requirements and ensure the implementation matches the intended UX, UI, and messaging hierarchy across devices.
  • Review builds during implementation and QA to validate responsiveness, usability, accessibility basics, page speed considerations, and conversion readiness, and provide clear feedback to close gaps before launch.

Delivery and Client Alignment

  • Own the end-to-end execution of website initiatives from strategy through launch, ensuring high-quality delivery on time.
  • Partner with the Group Account Director to align execution to client priorities, scope, and timeline commitments, and escalate risks or tradeoffs early when decisions are needed.

Measurement, CRO, and Iteration

  • Define the conversion measurement plan for key pages and flows, including what events matter, what “success” looks like, and the tracking requirements needed to evaluate performance.
  • Lead CRO recommendations based on data and observation by diagnosing friction points and proposing changes to information hierarchy, section sequencing, offer clarity, CTA strategy, form strategy, trust elements, and mobile usability.
  • Drive post-launch iteration by reviewing performance signals and funnel outcomes, translating insights into prioritized design and copy updates that improve conversion rate over time.

Experience & Skills

  • 4 to 8+ years in website strategy and design, UX and UI, or conversion-focused web work, ideally in an agency environment
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including low-fidelity to high-fidelity mockups, component libraries, responsive layouts, and organized files
  • Experience building and maintaining Figma design systems, including reusable components, typography, spacing, grids, and responsive patterns
  • Strong understanding of CRO for ecommerce and lead gen websites, including hierarchy, friction reduction, CTA strategy, form strategy, and trust elements
  • Comfortable using Google Analytics (GA4 or equivalent) and Hotjar (or similar) to diagnose performance and inform design decisions
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager concepts and event tracking needs, without needing technical coding expertise
  • Working knowledge of Shopify patterns and ecommerce flows, including homepage, collection, PDP, cart, and checkout considerations, without needing to write code
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot CMS, WordPress, and Webflow, with the ability to design within platform constraints and direct implementation without technical coding expertise
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud for asset preparation and design support when needed
  • Ability to draft first-pass website copy using AI tools, then collaborate with a proofreader or copywriter for final polish
