About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Engineer I to join our dynamic Engineering department. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the protection of our systems and data. This is a full-time, salaried position where you will collaborate with a passionate group of professionals to build and maintain secure infrastructure while staying ahead of emerging security threats.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security protocols and systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents by conducting root cause analysis and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Help maintain and enforce organizational security policies and standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential threats.
- Support the implementation of security awareness training for employees across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Foundational knowledge of security principles, tools, and technologies.
- Experience with conducting vulnerability assessments or using common security testing tools.
- Familiarity with operating systems, networking protocols, and cloud systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing and prioritizing tasks independently.
