Senior Full Stack Engineer

Overview: 

Extropy is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale robust, cutting-edge software that powers our digital finance transformation solutions for enterprise clients. You will play a hands-on role across the full development lifecycle from design and implementation to testing and deployment, working closely with engineering, product, and consulting teams to turn complex ideas into high-quality, production-ready systems that deliver real business impact. 

In this role, you will work with AWS serverless services, relational and document databases, modern development frameworks, and AI-driven components. You will help establish best practices for building reliable LLM-powered features, including evaluation, observability, and safety and guardrails, enabling us to ship faster without compromising quality, security, or performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications that support Extropy’s digital finance transformation solutions 
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement 
  • Develop high-quality front-end experiences and robust back-end services using modern frameworks, cloud native architectures, and best engineering practices 
  • Build and integrate APIs, data services, and workflows that connect internal platforms with client-facing solutions 
  • Work with AWS serverless services, relational and document databases, and cloud infrastructure to deliver secure, reliable, and performant systems 
  • Collaborate closely with consulting, product, and delivery teams to translate business and client needs into practical technical solutions 
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of AI-driven and LLM-powered features, with a focus on evaluation, observability, safety, and guardrails 
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, and contribute to peer reviews to uphold code quality and consistency 

 

  • Help establish and evolve engineering standards, tooling, and best practices to support a growing platform and team 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence 

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with both frontend and backend development. 
  • AI-first engineer: using AI tools daily to accelerate development (coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and refactoring) while maintaining production-quality standards. 
  • Experience working with at least one of the following frameworks: React, Vue, or Angular. 
  • A deep understanding of production systems and the architecture of web products. 
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. 
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS services (serverless preferred). 
  • Proficient in GitHub for version control, collaboration, and CI/CD workflows. 
  • Great communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. 

Desirable: 

  • Independent, fast learner, and excited about learning new technologies. 
  • Proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers. 
  • 1+ years of experience with Node.js is a big advantage. 
  • Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain / LangGraph or similar) or building lightweight orchestration without heavy frameworks. 

Work Arrangement 

  • Remote, ideally based in LATAM, with collaboration across teams in the US, Canada, and India. 
  • Primary working hours are aligned to US Eastern Time

Travel Requirements 

  • up to 10% travel to support client meetings, workshops, and key milestones as required. 

Compensation 

  • $30,000 - $50,000 USD based on experience 
  • up to 20% bonus based on meeting targets
