Job Summary
The Principal Liquid Cooling Systems Engineer provides technical expertise in defining and propagating technical standards and best practices related to direct-to-chip liquid cooling system design, installation, maintenance, and operations.
In this role you will provide technical guidance to internal field engineer and project management teams as well as to external clients, OEMs, and industry groups.
This role requires flexibility to travel around the US up to 50%.
Essential Functions
Technical Standards and Processes (30%)
- Define and maintain standards and processes including chemistry, mechanical, and procedural requirements and best practices for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of liquid cooling systems.
- Aggregate lessons learned from the field execution team and other sources and incorporate them into our reference documents and training materials.
- Maintain working relationships with key contacts in industry groups, OEMs, hyperscalers, developers, and other entities.
- Represent F2C in speaking engagements at technical conferences and by publishing technical papers.
Technical Training (30%)
- Support the technical training program for field engineering resources ensuring they have the requisite knowledge to operate independently on customer sites.
- Create course content based on technical standards and deliver through asynchronous recorded sessions, live classroom and laboratory sessions, and live in field sessions as needed.
- Partner with Operations leaders to ensure field verification of skills and knowledge.
- Identify knowledge gaps and develop new curriculum as industry standards evolve and new technologies emerge.
Technical Support for Project Execution (40%)
- Provide technical support for projects including plan and specification reviews and redlines.
- Provide technical support for project issue escalations including root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Participate in on site and virtual meetings as required and requested by project execution team.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
- 5+ years of high purity process cooling or mission-critical experience in design, construction, or operations.
- Cross-functional collaboration across multiple business units.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong risk identification, escalation discipline, and mitigation planning capability.
- Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information).
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and business technology platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication, self-motivation, proactiveness, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, employees, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.

Travel Requirements
- Up to 50%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states.
- Must be located near a major airport.

- Travel may involve transportation by car or plane depending on the destination and nature of the business need.
- Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meetings for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
