About the role

Four Sea Group is seeking a Senior Test Engineer specializing in Test & Evaluation (T&E) to support the planning, execution, analysis, and documentation of complex system testing in secure customer environments.

This role contributes to Four Sea Group’s ability to deliver dependable, mission-ready capabilities by ensuring systems are evaluated against defined requirements, operational needs, and performance expectations. The engineer will independently support defined T&E efforts, develop and execute test plans and procedures, analyze results, identify technical issues, and provide clear recommendations that improve system quality, reliability, and readiness.

The ideal candidate brings strong systems-level understanding, disciplined test and evaluation experience, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, program, customer, and test organizations. This role requires practical technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to translate requirements, concepts of operations, and system descriptions into meaningful evaluation criteria and executable test activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in test and evaluation, systems integration, verification and validation, systems engineering, or another mission-focused technical environment.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance at the time of hire.
  • Experience with GEOINT workflows.
  • Experience with system-of-systems testing.
  • Experience with test automation software such as JMeter, JUnit, TestComplete, or comparable tools.
  • Experience analyzing system requirements, concepts of operations, system descriptions, or comparable technical documentation to develop test and evaluation approaches.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing test plans, test procedures, test cases, or evaluation criteria.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting test data and technical results.
  • Ability to identify functional or performance problems, investigate contributing factors, and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Experience evaluating automated test results and confirming system behavior against expected outcomes.
  • Experience supporting test readiness activities, demonstrations, formal test events, or comparable evaluation activities.
  • Ability to document test status, results, risks, impediments, and recommendations for technical and program stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating test activities across engineering disciplines or external test organizations.
  • Understanding of quality, reliability, verification, validation, and configuration-controlled test practices.
  • Ability to independently lead defined test and evaluation efforts within an assigned technical scope.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S. Government, defense, intelligence, space, or other mission-critical programs.
  • Experience developing or contributing to formal Government Test & Evaluation documentation, including Test & Evaluation Strategies, Test & Evaluation Master Plans, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, or T&E Reports.
  • Experience supporting system-level verification and validation across hardware, software, or integrated mission systems.
  • Experience defining or improving test processes, quality-control standards, reliability practices, or broader testing programs.
  • Experience providing independent technical observation or acting as a witness during system demonstrations or formal test events.
  • Experience supporting acquisition, developmental test, operational test, or system acceptance activities.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools, test-management systems, or data-analysis environments.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve issues identified during test and evaluation.
  • Experience tailoring T&E approaches based on system maturity, technical risk, performance area, or mission function.
