Spreader Operators

Are you a recent high school or college graduate with a farming background? Do you have a passion for agriculture, enjoy working with machinery, and thrive in a team-oriented environment? If so, we want you to join our team as a Spreader Operator!

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation (75%): Operate farm machinery, including tractors, to carry out daily farm tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repairs (25%): Perform routine maintenance and small repairs to keep equipment in excellent working condition.
  • Assist with odd tasks and general farm upkeep during wet or slow periods.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete projects and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and handle fertilizer responsibly.
  • Additional duties as assigned to support farm operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong farming background, with hands-on experience in agriculture.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to diagnose and fix minor equipment issues.
  • Proven tractor operation experience (required).
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Access to a company-provided work vehicle for commuting to and from work (work use only).
  • Physically fit and able to work long hours, including 8–10 hour days during peak seasons.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions and around fertilizers.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to be part of a fun, team-oriented culture.

Position Overview

This full-time role involves operating and maintaining farm equipment, performing small repairs, and taking on odd jobs around the farm as needed. You'll spend the majority of your time operating machinery, with additional responsibilities that keep the farm running efficiently during downtime or adverse weather conditions. We offer a supportive, fun team environment with the potential for performance-based bonuses, including exciting team trips!

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 45 CAD per hour (Arthur, ON)
