Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team.
Reporting to the Group Planning & Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient dispatch and delivery of our products to customers, stores, and distribution centres.

About the Role

As Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport and dispatch operations, managing freight provider relationships, monitoring delivery performance, and identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and cost outcomes.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service and Dispatch teams, you will ensure products are delivered safely on time and in full while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating daily dispatch and transport activities to ensure timely product deliveries.
  • Booking freight collections and monitor deliveries to customers and distribution centres.
  • Managing relationships with third-party logistics and freight providers.
  • Monitoring and report on freight provider performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Investigating and resolve delivery issues, delays, and customer enquiries.
  • Analysing logistics data and identify opportunities to improve service levels and reduce costs.
  • Monitoring delivery performance and provide real-time communication during significant delays.
  • Ensuring proof of delivery documentation is received and maintained.
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes and systems to improve logistics operations.
  • Assisting with stock movement reconciliations and inventory discrepancy investigations.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across transportation and logistics functions.
  • Supporting a strong culture of workplace safety, food safety, and quality compliance.


About You

You will bring to this role:

  • Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers and transport operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy and confidence using ERP and logistics systems.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of GMP, food manufacturing or cold chain logistics will be highly regarded.
