Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Technologist at our Dartmouth, NS office.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components for various projects.
- Assist in the testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
- Designing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for electrical systems, considering factors such as signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI compliance.
- Assisting electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and product designers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other components.
- Developing test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and performing validation to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.
- Participate in the design review process.
- Review of engineering deliverables.
- Work with the Production department to provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process.
- Understand project requirements and provide operational support while in the field.
- Mentor Electrical Engineers and Technologists.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent with 4+ years' experience.
- Excellent design standards and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Effectively focus on high level project objectives while executing detailed design tasks.
- Incredible attention to detail.
- Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success.
- Experience in the design specification, installation and connection methods of electrical equipment.
- Strong written and oral communications skills (technical reporting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment.
- High degree of organization, with the ability to prioritize task.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
- Experience with Altium
- Experience with Zuken E3
- Experience with LabVIEW
