Marble is building the system that allows AI to understand and run real world knowledge work.

AI can now generate code, reason over data, and operate interfaces. But it still cannot run organizations, because the most valuable knowledge in the global economy is undocumented, fragmented across tools, and trapped inside human workflows.

We capture how work actually happens, structure it, and build the largest dataset of actual knowledge work on this planet, which we will use to enable production grade automation inside large companies end-to-end.

We are hiring a Founding Engineer to help us build this from first principles.

The role

You will own core parts of the platform end to end and work directly with the founders, product, and early enterprise customers.

This is a deeply technical challenge. You are not building demos or thin AI wrappers.

Your work includes:

• Capturing and structuring multimodal data streams at scale
• Designing data and evaluation pipelines that turn noisy enterprise activity into reliable signals
• Building retrieval and reasoning layers for long horizon agent behavior
• Creating production infrastructure where AI actions must be correct, observable, and trusted
• Shipping end to end product capabilities that deliver measurable operational impact
• Set the engineering bar for quality, speed and operational excellence

Team

The founders and early operators previously worked at Silicon Valley startups backed by Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, Index, Benchmark, OpenAI, and Elad Gil.

We are bringing the ambition to build a generational technology company to Europe, combining deep AI infrastructure with real enterprise deployment from day one.

What we look for

• Experience designing owning complex production systems and being responsible for outcomes
• Strong backend and architecture fundamentals, especially in Python, FastAPI
• Experience with high volume data pipelines and reliability at scale
• Hands on work with retrieval, embeddings, VLMs & agent systems in production
• Ability to operate what you ship in real environments
• Comfort across infrastructure, cloud, and deployment
